1 What is FMEA
In the actual operation of an enterprise's quality management system, although a document about "preventive measures" will be prepared, it is usually more difficult to find more comprehensive potential problems in a predictable way. In order to effectively implement the "preventive measures", so that there may be potential problems can not appear, the need for a management system from the identification of problems to control the potential impact, the development of the method is "potential failure mode and consequences analysis", or referred to as FMEA.
2. Why should FMEA be applied to the laser welding technology of headlights
1) High requirements for production conditions. Laser welding technology has many requirements for dimensional position accuracy. First of all, the laser path around the welding part should be simulated. Combined with the shape of the welding part, the allowable position deviation can be calculated. In the actual production, we should not only consider the deformation of the product itself, but also consider the use of clamp and other sizes and tolerances that may produce position deviation. At the same time, the parameter setting of laser equipment and pressure equipment is also complicated.
2) The conditions of use vary greatly. Nowadays, although the application of laser welding technology in the headlight industry has tended to be mature, due to the different shape of the headlight, the different connection mode between the car body and other reasons, different regions, different use conditions. Therefore, a series of methods are needed to evaluate whether the product meets the conditions for mass production before mass production.
