Basic principle of plastic laser welding
Through welding is easy to control and is the most widely used welding method. The principle of the through-welding mode is: Two thermoplastics of different materials, one is transparent to laser, the other has high absorption, the two are clamped together at low pressure, when the laser through the transparent plastic product, and then is absorbed by another plastic product with a certain absorption, the laser energy absorption product converts light energy into heat energy, melting in the plastic contact surface, A transient welding zone is formed at the interface due to the diffusion of the material.
Basic procedure of plastic laser welding
The basic working process of plastic laser transmission welding technology is as follows:
(1) Put a transparent plastic weldment and a light-absorbing or absorbent plastic weldment together, and use a fixture and apply certain pressure to make the contact surface of the two welds fully contact;
(2) A laser beam is controlled to pass through the transparent welds and absorption welds successively, so that the laser passes through the transparent welds and reaches the absorbent welds;
(3) The vibration mirror controls the trajectory and speed of the laser, so that the laser irradiates the contact surface of the welding parts according to the preset trajectory and speed;
(4) The light-absorbing welds below the contact surface absorb laser energy and generate heat. Through heat conduction, the welding contact surface is melted. Under the pressure of the fixture, the plastics in the molten state are fully mixed.
(5) Turn off the laser, the welding contact surface in the molten state cools gradually with the reduction of laser energy, forming a firm weld, and the welds are tightly connected together.
